Stop deforestation

klimaskog - waldabholzung in norwegen stoppen

Forest is one of our most important ally when it comes to binding and storing of carbon dioxide.

At the last world climate summit in Glasgow, more than 100 countries committed to stop deforestation by 2030. This projekt is an important and correkt step in the fight against climate change and global warming. It is doubtful whether this ambitious goal can actualy be achieved.

The norwegian government, for example, recommended, just a few months after signing the agreement, that the funds for voluntary forest protection in their own country should be halved.

Norske Skog, one of the world largest wood processing companies, was recently able to report a significant jump in sales and profits.

Despite the promises made in Glasgow, global overexploitation of forests, be it for timber, agricultural land or construction projects, seems to be gaining momentum.

Whatever the outcome of the climate conferences will be, Klimaskog has decided to act now to stop the loss of our forests.

With a donation, no matter how small, you can help us stop further deforestation.
