We learned this prophecy as schoolchildren back in the 1980s. Today, more than 40 years later, nature is being destroyed at an ever faster rate in the hunt for profit.
We at Klimaskog don't want to be moralizers or do-gooders, but with our project we want to make our contribution to preserving natural diversity for future generations.
Our principle is very simple: forest owners receive compensation from us if they voluntarily protect their areas for the future instead of deforesting them. Around 5 to 10% of the protected areas created in this way should be accessible to the general public, because we are convinced that only those who experience and understand nature will treat it more carefully in the future.
In order to protect further forest areas together with you, we are dependent on donations, among other things, because investors and banks are generally reluctant to participate in such projects.
Klimaskog currently manages around 300 hectares of protected areas, which continue to grow thanks to your help.
